A Transitional Living Environment for Parolees

Our Program

Our name summarizes our mission: to help restore broken lives by offering a Christian faith-based sober living residential support structure for male parolees returning to Sacramento County who are committed to life and lifestyle change, and to rebuilding their lives on a solid faith foundation.

Restoration House provides a "family" living environment for up to 18 months in a beautiful facility in the Fruitridge East / Hwy. 99 South area of Sacramento. Residents must commit to curfews and random drug tests, and to supporting one another. We accept applications without regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or age. We are not able to accept PC 290 registrants or anyone unable to easily navigate stairs. Personal responsibility, shared work, respect for others, communication and conflict resolution, tolerance for differences and similar skills are learned and lived.

We are certified by CAARR (California Association of Addiction Recovery Resources). We are not a licensed treatment facility and we do not provide direct detox, medical or psychological services.

Restoration House addresses the whole person. Components of our support structure include:

Spiritual. Residents share Bible, prayer and life-sharing time. Each resident is expected to worship and become involved in a church of his choice.

Educational. Residents are encouraged to participate in ongoing education: school, GED preparation, or vocational training. Tutoring is provided.

Life-Skills Training. We offer opportunities to learn money management and budgeting; shopping and cooking; social and relational skills; health and nutrition; finding and using community resources for employment and other needs.

Rehabilitation. Each resident sets personal goals. Progress and accountability are provided by weekly individual meetings with staff, and in residents' group meetings. Residents are encouraged to participate in counseling, AA, NA and other self-help groups.

Employment. We assist residents in accessing employment resources. Residents must be capable of full time employment.
